Terms of Service
Chapter 1: General Provisions
Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of these terms is to stipulate the conditions and procedures for using all systems provided by the Word of Life Mission, including web and app services, as well as the rights, obligations, responsibilities, and other necessary matters of users and the system.
Article 2 (Effectiveness and Amendment of Terms)
① The system provides its services on the condition that the user agrees to these terms. Once the user agrees, these terms will take precedence over any other agreements regarding the use of the services.
② In case of amendments to the terms, the system will announce the effective date and reasons for amendment on the homepage at least seven days before the effective date. If the amendments are unfavorable to users, a notice period of at least 30 days will be provided. The system will clearly compare the previous and revised terms for easy understanding. If a user does not agree to the amended terms, they may cancel their membership. Continued use of the services will be considered as agreement to the revised terms.
Article 3 (Application of Other Rules)
① These terms apply in conjunction with any additional terms and service usage policies provided by the system.
② Matters not specified in these terms shall be governed by relevant laws, including the Basic Act on Telecommunications, the Telecommunications Business Act, and other applicable regulations and ethical guidelines.
Article 4 (Definitions)
Terms used in these terms are defined as follows:
① User: A person who receives services provided by the system under these terms.
② Registration: Completing the membership application form provided by the system and agreeing to these terms to finalize the service usage agreement.
③ Member: A person who provides personal information to the system, completes membership registration, receives system-provided information, and uses its services.
④ Password: A combination of letters and numbers chosen by the user to verify their identity and protect their personal information during communication.
⑤ Withdrawal: The act of a member terminating their service usage agreement.
⑥ Terms not defined herein will follow the definitions provided in individual service-specific terms and usage policies.
Chapter 2: Service Provision and Use
Article 5 (Formation of the Service Agreement)
① The service agreement is formed when the applicant completes the membership application process provided online by the system.
② The system may cancel the service agreement in the following cases:
Using another person’s identity to apply
Providing false information in the application
Applying for purposes that disrupt public order or violate social norms
Disrupting other users’ access to services or stealing their information
Engaging in activities prohibited by laws or these terms through the system
Failing to meet the system's application requirements
③ The system may defer the formation of the service agreement under the following conditions:
Insufficient service capacity
Technical difficulties
④ The services provided by the system are as follows, and the system may notify users of changes and modify these services:
Providing various information via email to assist service usage
All services developed by the system or provided through agreements with other organizations
Article 6 (Consent to Use of Member Information)
① The system's Privacy Policy applies to members' personal information.
② Members’ information is collected, used, managed, and protected as per the Privacy Policy. For more details, refer to the Privacy Policy.
Article 7 (Information Security)
① Members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their information from the moment they complete the registration process.
② Members must immediately notify the system if they discover unauthorized use of their ID or password. Failure to notify absolves the system of responsibility.
③ Members must ensure proper logout after service use to prevent third parties from accessing their information.
④ The system does not use cookies to collect personal information and does not operate devices for automatic installation of personal information.
⑤ If personal information is leaked, the system will notify users of the affected information and circumstances.
Article 8 (Service Hours)
① Services are available 24/7 unless technical or operational issues arise.
② Regular maintenance or specific needs may result in temporary service interruptions.
Article 9 (User-Generated Content Policy)
① User-generated content (UGC) rights belong to the user. Users may share or post their content via the system, which may use the content for service provision without commercial purposes.
② Users can delete their content at any time. The system may also remove content under legal or technical obligations.
③ Users are fully responsible for the legality of their content.
④ The system may remove content violating third-party rights and may hold users legally accountable.
Article 10 (Service Interruption and Data Management)
① The system is not responsible for data loss caused by unforeseen circumstances.
② Temporary service interruptions will be announced one week in advance unless extraordinary circumstances occur.
③ Permanent service discontinuation will be announced one month in advance.
Article 11 (Service Changes and Termination)
The system is not liable for losses users incur from using the service or information posted.
Article 12 (Right to Refuse Agreement)
Users may refuse to agree to these terms. However, membership registration may be restricted if agreement is not provided.
